Amazon →Storyteller working across the page and the screen — from published novels to films written, produced, and directed.
Born in Harlem and raised in the South Bronx, Dwayne Alexander Smith caught the filmmaking bug the way so many did — watching Star Wars and deciding, right then, to chase the dream of telling stories on screen.
He's also an award-winning author. His debut novel, Forty Acres, earned the NAACP Image Award for Best First Novel.
Dwayne lives in Culver City. When he's not writing, you'll find him playing with his son, revisiting a classic movie, or at the poker table.
